STAR Patent

NEW PATENT: STAR - Selective Target-Actuated Rifle

Zyberwear has been awarded US Patent 6,871,439 " Target-actuated weapon".

In the Civil War we expended 5000 small-arms shots for one enemy casualty. In Vietnam this rose to 200,000 shots per enemy casualty: two tons of man-carried cartridges and blown into the jungle. Statistically small-arms fire hits nothing; it is an acoustic phenomenon, for the comfort of the shooter and the intimidation of the target.

5 shots, 5 casualties traversing in 5 seconds, without sniper
training, without $20,000 IR scope, knee-walking drunk.

The Selective Target-Actuated Rifle (STAR) never misses. The soldier needs one shot, without really aiming.

The soldier pulls the trigger when aiming in the general direction of the enemy, and the gun fires when the bullet will pass through the target.

It will be low cost to manufacture, need no training, and make every man a sniper-quality shot.

When funded, developed and fielded, this weapon will change the nature of ground combat.
